Crossfit movements are movements that we need for life. In fact they are the only safe movements you should be performing. Functional movements like squatting pressing, sprinting, rowing, pull ups push ups etc are how we have been evolved to move. What moves are not functional and are inherently unsafe? Here is a good test. Would you see the movement on a childrens play ground, a battle field, a job site or in sport? If not they are probably useless "gym" moves.
