Salmon is a very, very healthy food with high proteins, omega 3 fatty acids and vitamin B. Wild salmon especially helps you in reducing your excess weight as well. It's a nutritional star in high demand currently. Salmon is a very low calorie food and can speed up your bodies metabolism to burn excess fat. It’s also a very delicious and nutritious food which is very easy to prepare. Here's some nice new recipes I gathered (on Pinterest and Ion Bell) which will aid you in cutting down your calories while eating a nutritionally dense piece of salmon.
- Salmon with Avocado (pictured above)
As you are very well known about the fact that avocado helps you in losing weight. Now this time try something new with avocado by adding salmon to it. Take 1 slice naan bread, 1 table spoon olive oil, 1 sliced avocado, 2-3 ounces smoked salmon and salt to taste. Pre heat your oven to 350 degrees F, brush naan bread with 1 teaspoon of olive oil and toast in the oven for 10 minutes, layer the avocado slices evenly across the bread and salmon on top of the avocado

Use fresh vegetables in different ways in your daily diet as much as possible. 2 bell peppers, powder, 1 big onion, 3 slices bread torn, ½ cup chopped beans. Heat your oven to 450 degrees F. On a rimmed baking sheet, toss the onions, beans, sliced bell peppers, and bread with oil and nestle salmon pieces in the mixture and roast until the salmon is thoroughly cooked for just 10 minutes. As the vegetables are tender don’t bake above 10 minutes.

Salmon curry is one of the famous and favorite dishes to many. But you need till bit patience in preparing it. Prepare this take 2 table spoons oil, ¼ turmeric powder, 1 cup finely chopped mint leaves, 1 table spoon chille powder, ½ cup tamarind juice, ½ cup onion paste, 1 table spoon coriander power, 1 table spoon coconut powder, 2 cups of water. First clean your salmon and cut them to 2 to 3 pieces, add the said ingredients except coconut powder and tamarind and marinate for ½ hour. Now heat your pan on medium flame with oil and transfer the marinate content in to pan and fry for 5 minutes, now add tamarind juice and coconut powder to it and cook for another 15 minutes.
- Salmon Tacos with cabbage Slaw
Generally some people don’t like cabbage (like me), but if you try your salmon with cabbage it may change your opinion on cabbage. Take1 pound of salmon , 1 spoon cumin, 1 spoon black pepper, 2 table spoon oil , 1 cup finely chopped cabbage, 1 table spoon lemon juice. Take a pan and cook salmon with cumin, salt and black pepper in 1 table spoon oil on a medium heat for 5 minutes. Mean while toss the cabbage with lime juice and salt. Serve the salmon in tortillas with slaw and cilantro.
- Simple Salmon for the bachelor
Simple salmon is very less time taking dish with less ingredients. Take 1 spoon of garlic powder, 1 table spoon dried basil, 2 table spoons butter, 4 ounce salmons peices, 1 spoon of pepper powder. Mix garlic powder, basil, pepper powder and salt in a small bowl, rub in equal amounts on the salmon pieces. Take a medium pan and melt the butter in low flame, cook the salmon in the butter until it become brown and flaky for about 5 to 8 minutes. Remove from flame and serve in a plate.
