It the first day of Kermit's week of chaos. I thought we would get the ball rolling with a workout inspired by the upcoming CrossFit Games in Aromas. If you have been paying attention to the .com site you will have noticed that the regional qualifiers have started. So far, the results from Australasia, Europe, SoCal, and Great Basin are in. I have been watching the workouts posted to try and judge the level of difficulty of each workout. Well, I guess the only way to judge a workout is to actually do it. So, with that in mind I have created the following workout. It is very similar to one of the workouts used in the SoCal Regional Qualifiers. So, without further ado I present the following which I have named... "The Kermitron" 5 rounds for time: 25 squats 10 pull-ups 5 handstand pushups 5 hang power cleans/anyway overhead (85 lbs/135 lbs) If you do not have a handstand pushup then choose an appropriate progression (e.g. seated shoulder press, ab-mat headrests, TBear's crazy elastic band contraption etc). And now for your viewing pleasure check out the trailer for the upcoming feature film "Every Second Counts". This is a film based up on last year's CrossFit Games. I for one am looking forward to seeing it in its entirety.
