‘Tis the Season

I know it is only the 3rd of December, but I will not get a chance to program again until the New Year therefore I am taking this opportunity to put up one of my favourite seasonal workouts. I think it also qualifies as a Friday Grinder! Technique: Review Turkish getup technique and find your 1 rep max Turkish getup (start from standing, lie down, switch arms, stand up - this counts as one Turkish get-up). Workout: "The 12 Days of Christmas" 1 Burpee 2 Turkish getups (20lbs/35lbs) 3 Cleans (85 lbs/135 lbs) 4 Box Jumps (20 inch box) 5 Push-ups 6 Air squats 7 Sit-ups 8 Wallballs (12lbs/20lbs) 9 Double unders 10 KB swings (red/black) 11 Pull-ups 12 Mountain climbers Now the way this workout goes is exactly as the song is performed. First verse = A partridge in a pear tree Second verse = Two turtle doves and a partridge in a pear tree etc. You get the idea, for each round you add an additional exercise that is one more repetition than the previous. -Kermit
