Natasha is super fun to coach, she is always laughing at herself but enjoying the process while doing it. She is always smiling and always working hard. She has a few too many shirts with ridiculous catch phrases on them but her good attitude over rides how nonsensical they are.
Started MadLab in March 2016. She has quickly
I worked at cafe artigiano with a guy named Kane, that was a previous coach at MadLab, and he got me interested. It took me 3 years to finally take the leap.
Why I stay.... I stay for a couple of reasons.
Firstly, the 4pm crew that has adopted me into their social group. Also the love and encouragement from the entire MadLab community. It's amazing to be apart of a group of people that will cheer for you, especially if you're dead last.
Secondly, I found MadLab at a very low point in my life. I had just got out a relationship that was mentally and physically abusive, and it left me with a sometimes crippling social anxiety disorder. I still have no idea how I managed to even walk through the front door for my first training day, but I do remember being terrified the entire hour.
It also didn't help that it was a rope climbing workout and there was lots of yelling. After coming out of the abusive relationship I was left feeling weak, physically and mentally, and I developed this insane drive to become the strongest version of myself; and Tom made sure I didn't kill/injure myself in the process.
I got it into my head that if I became physically strong my mind would follow, and it seems to have worked.
I stay because it's helped me heal.
I stay because it's my happy place.
