Tuesday - Pyramind Run
Okay I'll be the first to admit I don't really, particularly like running - especially long distances. I've noticed from my previous programming that three to five 400m runs in the course of a workout is pretty much the longest distance I have ever dished out. Well, it's time to shake things up a little. Don't worry I am not sending you out on a 5 to 10km trek instead I thought we would play with a Running Pyramid. But before I get into the details of the workout first technique!
Technique: Play on the bars, try out marsupial swings and alligator arms and try mixing some pull-ups in between.
Workout: Running Pyramid
1 push-up, 1 pull-up, 1 sit-up, 1 squat
250m (ish) Lulu run
2 push-ups, 2 pull-ups, 2 sit-ups, 2 squats
250m (ish) Lulu run
...
10 push-ups, 10 pull-ups, 10 sit-ups, 10 squats
250m (ish) Lulu run
9 push-ups, 9 pull-ups, 9 sit-ups, squats
250m (ish) Lulu run
...
1 push-up, 1 pull-up, 1 sit-up, 1 squat
250m (ish) Lulu run
So the top of the pyramid is 10. Sorry in advance if the weather does not co-operate. However, we do live in Vancouver so be prepared for a little rain. Good luck!
