Week of Max - Day Four

Halfway there, ladies and gentlemen. Thursday's WoD: As many rounds as possible in 12 minutes of: 5 pullups, 10 pushups, 15 squats (aka 1 round of Cindy) 3 Clean and Jerks (155/95) Come up with a name for this one, it's a doozy. Clean and jerks are done "Grace" style, two-hands overhead anyhow. For leaderboard purposes, completing the round of Cindy gets you half of a round. Continuing with the programming discussion, AGT is a general, all-purpose, customizable GPP program based on Crossfit and other sources. Interestingly, it is very similar to how I trained over the summer, and how Josh Everett (2nd place in 2008 CF games) trains all the time. Note the skill practice every day and either strength work or olympic weightlifting almost every day as well. Crossfit is open-source and has inspired many others to experiment with the model. The most interesting I've found are this one, and the Hybrid by Gant Grimes. Just more ideas for your training. Post thoughts to comments. On another note, think you're strong? Please don't feel belittled by these feats of strength. View them as motivation for how far we can go smile -Max- "The full squat is a perfectly natural position for the leg to occupy. That's why there's a joint in the middle of it, and why humans have been occupying this position, both unloaded and loaded, for millions of years. Much longer, in fact, than quasi-intellectual morons have been telling us that it's "bad" for the knees" - Mark Rippetoe
